Hello and welcome to the latest edition of 'in the klick'. As we approach the half way mark of 2009, we look forward to working on some very exciting projects. We have the most amazing partners and are proud to be associated with them each and every day.
We have never mentioned the GFC here at Klick and now that the news is out that Australia has not, and is unlikely to go into a recession (on a technicality but we'll take it) we are proud to say that business for us, and our partners has not slowed. We wouldn't do what we do everyday if we didn't believe in the awesome power of PR and even during times of "slowdowns" brands should capitalise and take the opportunity to be heard and connect with their audiences. There are exciting times ahead, as our industry and the media landscape continues to change.
We hope you enjoy reading good news for a change!
Hot 30 Under 30
Reddog Technology Founder and CEO Nathan Aherne was recently named in the second annual SmartCompany Hot 30 Under 30 list.
Aherne, who founded Reddog in 2006 says, “To be included among such an innovative group of people is a real honour. I have lived and breathed Reddog Technology for the past three years so it’s really exciting for it to be acknowledged in this way. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve in the next decade.”

Snuggle Up Stamford Style
Stamford Hotels and Resorts
have gotten ready for Winter with a number of new initiatives. The group has launched its Winter Snuggler deal that offers guests the chance to win $2000 cash each month of winter.
Stamford Plaza Brisbane has introduced Saturday Afternoon High Tea in its award-winning Siggi's
restaurant.
In Sydney, Sir Stamford at Circular has just revamped its cocktail menu. Instead of populating the list with foams and unusual ingredients, the hotel has stepped back in time and compiled a comprehensive list of old school classics. Martini anyone?
Media Trip to Hawai'i
Last week we were priviledged enough to visit the islands of Aloha and escape the Sydney Winter Chill for a few days. Along with some of our favourite Travel journalists, we had a great time sightseeing and dining together in Oahu, and visiting the islands of Maui, Kauai and Hawai'i's Big Island.
Here we are dining at the amazing Chef Mavro
in Honolulu and enjoying cocktails at the Mai Tai Bar in the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
If you'd like to escape the winter cold, our friends at Hawaiian Airlines have just announced an incredible deal. Their 'Take A Mate' special is valid for sale until 22 June 2009 and the fare for TWO PEOPLE is priced at $1360 ex Sydney inclusive of taxes.

Meet the Team
In this month's edition of "meet the team" please welcome, from Christchurch....Florence Sandford. Florence is Klick's FEE (First Ever Employee) and we are not sure she will ever top that claim to fame.
Prior to joining Klick, Florence spent her days in the entertainment industry in New York and Sydney. Most recently working for Scorpio Music Management, an artist management company looking after some of the country’s top musical talent, including Evermore, Operator Please, Van She and Lisa Mitchell. With a strong passion for PR, Florence is currently studying for a Bachelor of Communications and works mostly with our travel and entertainment clients. Flo (as she is known to many) is always amused by the new words we invent with her in mind e.g. a job done well is known as a Flojob
, when a boy looks at her we call it a Flomance and her favourite cocktail is the Lava Flo. Our days are filled with fun when we go with the Flo!

Head into the office for our weekly Pilates session, have a few laughs with the team as we struggle to learn this new skill – love our instructor she has the patience of a pre-school teacher, following the session and coffee in hand we chat about the day’s tasks and head into our busy day (still in our Pilates gear). 9.30am flying change and fly out the door to meet with Havaianas - planning for this year’s Australia Day Thong Challenge – it’s is going to be big! 10.30am
